A United Airlines passenger set free “blood-curdling screams” throughout a “vicious” assault by one other flier on a San Francisco to Washington, D.C. flight this week, a witness says.
The airline tells FOX Enterprise that “Due to the fast motion of our crew and prospects, one passenger was restrained after turning into bodily aggressive towards one other buyer” onboard United Flight 2247 on Monday.
“He was simply very violently and really aggressively simply pummeling the man who was within the window seat who was in entrance of me and it was vicious. This wasn’t like a bar room, I’ll throw a few punches round, I imply this was vicious,” Sandhya Gupta informed KGO following the incident.
The FBI says the suspect, Everett Nelson, was strolling again to his seat after utilizing the aircraft’s rest room when he focused the sleeping sufferer, based on the station.

A United Airways spokesperson informed FOX Enterprise that “The flight landed safely and was met by paramedics and native regulation enforcement.”
There have been 82 passengers onboard the plane and 6 crew members. The motive for the alleged assault is unclear.
“United Airways Flight 2247 safely landed at Dulles Worldwide Airport in Virginia after the crew reported a passenger disturbance on Monday, Oct. 28 at 1:40 p.m. native time. The Boeing 737-900 departed San Francisco Worldwide Airport. The FAA will examine,” the Federal Aviation Administration informed FOX Enterprise in an announcement.
The FBI didn’t instantly reply Thursday to a request for remark from FOX Enterprise.
