Snow in the Sahara Desert

Snow has fallen in the Sahara - Algeria, North Africa.
Up to one metre of snow has fell over the area.
Ain Sefra in western Algeria, also known as the gateway to the Sahara has had it's first snow since 1979.
One metre of snow is the biggest snow fall in living memory in the Sahara Desert.

Also, Costa del Sol and Majorca has seen freezing temperatures.
